Sesame Street Declares Itself Autonomous Zone in New Season of Children’s Show

Producers of Sesame Street announced new changes to the beloved children’s show, including the street being declared an autonomous zone.

While the previous fifty seasons focused on helping children get a head start on reading and counting, the new season promises to focus more on social justice issues.

“Almost all of our characters are MOC, or Muppets of Color,” said executive producer Karen Leman. “We want our audience to know Big Bird, Oscar, Elmo, and the rest do not have to comply with the rules of privileged white politicians and certainly not follow the orders of their police.”

Sources close to the show say each episode will be brought to you by the letter R, a reminder to the white children watching that their parents are most likely racist.
